(Corporate Psychology Platform)
Companies increasingly recognised the need for employee mental health support — but had no structured, private way to deliver it. Employees navigated fragmented systems, while HR teams had no visibility into overall team wellbeing trends. The process was manual, slow, and inherently discouraging.
No Structured Access — Employees could not easily find or book qualified mental health professionals. Manual processes created friction at exactly the wrong moment.
Privacy Barrier — Employees feared that seeking help would be visible to management — the primary barrier to adoption of any workplace wellbeing solution.
The Objective: Design a confidential, frictionless iOS platform connecting employees with certified psychologists — where individuals control their own data and HR receives only anonymised aggregate insights.
Designed for Low Cognitive Load — A warm, focused visual system (mbForestGreen #2E4938, mbMoss, mbBackground #EDEAE4) — clean layouts reduce mental effort so employees can focus on care, not navigation.
Professional Directory — Vetted specialists with specialty tags, credentials, availability and direct booking. Each profile shows disciplines, session format, and certification — making selection confident, not overwhelming.
Confidentiality Architecture — Employees see only their own data. HR sees only anonymised aggregates. This privacy-first model was the primary driver of adoption willingness in user research.

| Phase | Action & Outcome |
|---|---|
| User Research | Mapped employee mental health journeys identifying the privacy barrier as the #1 adoption blocker. Defined the confidentiality architecture as a first-class design requirement, not an afterthought. |
| Design Token System | Defined the full MindBridge design token system — mbForestGreen, mbMoss, mbBackground, mbCardBackground — applied consistently across all 9 screens and SwiftUI components. |
| Component Library | Built a SwiftUI component library: specialist cards, booking pickers, wellbeing check-in widgets, and navigation patterns — all following the mb* token system. |
| High-Fidelity Prototype | Delivered a complete 9-screen iOS prototype covering the full employee journey from onboarding to booked and confirmed session. |
A complete 9-screen native iOS app covering onboarding, home dashboard, specialist directory, booking flow, and confirmation — ready for live deployment.
Confidentiality by Architecture — Full confidentiality baked into the UX: employees see only their own data, HR sees only anonymised aggregates — removing the primary adoption barrier of career-impact fear.
10+ Vetted Specialists — Curated professional directory with verified credentials — each specialist holds a postgraduate clinical qualification and proven corporate experience.

The most important design decision was treating confidentiality as a core product feature rather than a legal checkbox. Every data model decision — what HR can see, what employees see, how sessions are stored — was designed to maximise employee trust first.
This meant some features requested by HR stakeholders (individual session tracking, manager visibility) were deliberately descoped. Adoption without trust is zero; adoption with trust is everything.
