(Website Redesign — Digital Boutique Agency)
Despite 14+ years of professional expertise, the legacy Contento website failed to communicate the agency's true value. The old interface lacked the modern, sophisticated visual language required to compete in the premium market.
Legacy Positioning — The existing site read like a generic web agency template — service lists, no storytelling, and no visible evidence of the senior-level expertise that differentiates Contento.
Low-Conversion Architecture — Navigation was fragmented across sub-pages, causing click-fatigue. Users dropped off before reaching the agency's strongest assets: its results and its people.
The Objective: Design a unified, intuitive digital flagship that reflects the agency's premium positioning — focusing on storytelling, high-conversion pathways, and senior-level expertise.
To differentiate Contento from generic web agencies, we conducted a competitive benchmarking analysis against high-end performers. We audited service listings and synthesised a bloated list of offerings into a concise, non-subpage layout to eliminate click-fatigue and keep focus on the core value proposition.
Competitive Audit — Benchmarked against 12 premium digital agencies across Hungary and Central Europe. Identified a consistent pattern: the strongest converters led with story and outcome, not service catalogues.
IA Redesign — Collapsed the legacy multi-subpage structure into a single, scroll-driven homepage — consolidating the full narrative into one seamless journey from hero to contact.
Visual Language — Built a premium dark aesthetic with teal-kinetic accents and bold typography — visually distinctive in a market dominated by safe, light-background agency sites.
| Phase | Action & Outcome |
|---|---|
| Concept | Shifted to a narrative-driven structure prioritising client success stories over generic feature lists. Eliminated sub-page navigation in favour of a single scroll-driven homepage journey. |
| Competitive Audit & IA | Benchmarked 12 premium agencies. Identified the click-fatigue pattern in legacy architecture. Restructured content hierarchy around conversion pathways — Hero → Expertise → Projects → Contact. |
| Design System | Built a premium dark-theme visual language: near-black backgrounds, teal kinetic accents, high-contrast typography. Established a component library covering all page sections. |
| High-Fidelity Delivery | Delivered full hi-fi mockups for all homepage sections — from the hero with circular-line animation to the project showcase and contact CTA — production-ready in Figma. |
The redesigned Contento website transforms a legacy template-driven presence into a premium, story-first digital flagship — positioning the agency to compete credibly in the senior and enterprise client market.
Eliminated Click-Fatigue — Collapsed a fragmented multi-subpage architecture into a single scroll-driven narrative — reducing user drop-off and keeping focus on the agency's strongest assets.
Premium Positioning Achieved — The dark aesthetic with kinetic teal accents is visually distinctive in a market dominated by generic light-background agency sites — immediately communicating boutique, senior-level expertise.

The defining decision was consolidating the entire website into a single scroll-driven homepage. This went against the client's initial instinct to maintain separate service sub-pages — but the competitive audit made the case clearly: the highest-converting agency sites lead with narrative, not navigation.
The premium dark aesthetic was also a deliberate risk — most Hungarian agency sites use safe, light-background designs. The decision to go dark and kinetic was driven by the brief: Contento needed to look and feel unlike every other option in the room.
